Utility Billing Clerk The United City of Yorkville is accepting applications for a full-time, Utility Billing Clerk in the Finance Department. Under the direction of the Utility Billing Coordinator, the Utility Billing Clerk is responsible for assisting in the billing of all municipal utility accounts, making adjustments, running reports, and problem‑solving questioned accounts. This position involves heavy customer contact and the ability to respond to questions and complaints. It requires the ability to understand, process, and work with numbers, patterns, and qualitative information, and related mathematical skills. Qualified applicants are expected to be knowledgeable in basic mathematics and accounts‑receivable and cash‑handling procedures, proficient in Microsoft Suite programs (particularly Word and Excel), and have excellent written and verbal customer service skills. Applicants should have a High School Degree or an Associate Degree (or higher) and a minimum of two (2) years of office‑related field experience. Salary range: $54,000 – $74,000, with starting salary commensurate with experience.
