## Pool AttendantApply: The Charleston Place: Full time: Posted Yesterday: R-103302The primary role of the **Pool Attendant** at **The Charleston Place**, is to ensure all guests are greeted and served in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with restaurant standards.**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES****Guest Experience & Service Excellence*** Greet all guests with a genuine, warm welcome and use their names whenever possible.* Escort guests to their designated tables or poolside lounge chairs promptly.* Anticipate guest needs, respond quickly, and acknowledge every guest regardless of how busy the deck is.* Provide consistent, efficient, and courteous service that strictly adheres to Forbes Standards.**Poolside Operations & Setup*** Set up, arrange, and maintain poolside lounge chairs throughout the day.* Distribute hourly amenities and refreshments to guests lounging by the pool.* Manage towel inventory by picking up fresh towels and returning soiled ones for laundering.* Stock necessary side stands with essential supplies to ensure smooth operations.**Food & Beverage Support*** Assist food and beverage servers during busy meal periods to ensure timely service.* Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, daily specials, and beverages.* Clear, bus, and reset tables quickly to keep the dining and lounge areas pristine.* Polish silverware and glassware to maintain luxury presentation standards.**REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:*** High school diploma or equivalent* Ability to communicate effectively in English with hotel guests, suppliers, and colleagues.* Provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests.* Proficient in memorizing and articulately explaining extensive food, beverage, ingredient, and daily special options to guests.* Ability remain calm under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.* Possess a strong positive attitude and ability to initiate light conversation with guests.* Basic knowledge of Charleston and surrounding areas.* Good communication skills both verbal and written* Additional foreign language skills a plus.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a colleague to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: * Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc. of at least 30 pounds.* Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure.* The role may require extended periods on your feet, especially during peak hotel hours or events.* Clear vision is important for reading reports, analyzing data, and overseeing Pool activities.* Good hearing is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, guests, and stakeholders.*Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.* #J-18808-Ljbffr
