District Manager – Sales & Growth | Jeff's Bagel Run (Charleston, SC)

We operate four Jeff's Bagel Run stores across greater Charleston — one of the fastest-growing bagel brands in the country — with a fifth on the way. The stores are stable and well-run; now we're looking for someone to drive growth across the market.

This is a sales-first leadership role: roughly 60–70% building the business and driving sales, 30–40% overseeing operations through our store managers. Sales and growth haven't had dedicated ownership before, so a big part of the job is building that function — the structure, targets, and cadence — from the ground up.

Growth & business development (60–70%)

• Own catering and wholesale — build the pipeline and secure recurring accounts (offices, schools, churches, community groups)
• Lead local-store marketing and community presence at each location — events, partnerships, sponsorships
• Engage customers directly and drive the sales effort within the stores
• Establish the sales structure the market currently lacks — targets, tracking, a weekly cadence, and follow-through

Operations & team leadership (30–40%)

• Lead and support four General Managers who run day-to-day store operations; set direction, coach, and hold them accountable to standards and targets
• Keep a steady rhythm with the team — regular check-ins and a weekly review of sales, labor, and food cost
• Ensure consistent execution across the market on quality, speed, cleanliness, and hospitality
• Monitor labor, food cost, and profitability by store, and step in where needed
• Step in to help cover staffing gaps when they arise

Qualifications

• Multi-unit restaurant or retail leadership experience
• Demonstrated, measurable sales growth — catering, local marketing, community, or traffic — not solely operations
• Comfortable building structure and process where little exists today
• Strong operational fundamentals: labor, food cost, scheduling, and team development
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and motivated by growth targets

Location & work style

• Field-based in the greater Charleston market, with no fixed office — work from home, from a store, or on the road as the day calls for. Expecting a leader to sense what is best for the business and make it happen.
• Time is split between building the business out in the market and staying close to the stores and GMs

Comp

• Compensation: Base $85–95K, plus a performance bonus tied to sales growth and profit-sharing potential — target total comp around $105–120K, with real upside for a strong performer.
